 When all attempts at administering your animal's medication have failed, transdermal gel is another unique dosage form to consider. The specialized gel base allows the medication to penetrate through the skin and enter the blood stream. The most common site of application is the hairless skin on the inside of the animal's ear. Available in both pre-filled syringes or applicator pen, transdermal gel makes the pain of giving oral medication obsolete. *May not be suitable for all medications.
